What is this programme about?
EIC Pathfinder is the EU funding instrument focused on early-stage deep tech innovations with a high degree of scientific and technological ambition and risk (TRL1-4). EIC Pathfinder offers Open calls (for any field of science or technology) and Challenges (for thematic priorities).
Who can apply for a EIC Pathfinder?
Collaborative consortia consisting of private or public legal entities from at least three different EU member states or associated countries. EIC Pathfinder Challenge calls may also accept single applications.

What are the key topics or sectors covered?
Focus topics and fields change from year to year. For 2024, the key topics include Solar-to-X devices, Cement/Concrete as Carbon Sinks, Nature-inspired Food-packaging & Films for Agriculture, Nanoelectronics for energy-efficient Smart Edge devices, and Sustainable & resilient EU space infrastructure. Topics for 2025 are expected to be announced soon.
