Section 1 - Business Eligibility
Is your business a UK-registered micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)?
Is your business registered with Companies House?
Will your business carry out the majority of the project work and exploit the results within the UK?
Are you applying as a single applicant (not in collaboration with other organisations)?
Section 2 - Project Eligibility
Is your project focused on late-stage research and development (R&D), specifically experimental development?
Will your project lead to innovative new products, processes, or services that are significantly ahead of others currently available, or propose an innovative use of existing ones?
Does your project align with one or more of the future economy areas outlined in the Innovate UK Plan for Action?
Will your project last less than five years, including both R&D and commercialisation phases?
Section 3 - Financial Eligibility
Are you seeking a loan amount between £100,000 and £5 million?
Can your business demonstrate a clear need for public funding and an inability to obtain suitable finance from other sources?
Can your business provide historic and forecast financial information to support your loan application?
Does your business have the capacity to cover interest payments and repay the loan on time?
