How CardMedic develops transformative Digital Translation Health Technology.

SBRI offers 100% funding for late stage R&D projects to SMEs that are able to demonstrate clear advantages to the NHS in solving unmet needs. SBRI is part of the Contracts for Innovation framework run in partnership with UKRI.

For CardMedic, an ambitious and self-funded SME based in London, this £500k SBRI funding is transformational. Firstly, the money itself enables CardMedic to employ key technical people to accelerate their technology development. Secondly, SBRI provides a platform for the deployment of that technology directly into the NHS, a key target customer for CardMedic.

Inspiring the future

Innovate UK Smart Grants are only awarded to the most innovative and technically challenging projects across the UK. The grant award of £411k to CardMedic provides funding for expertise that would otherwise be out of the company’s reach financially. The Smart Grant offers a competitive advantage to CardMedic and a chance to develop cutting-edge digital health technology in the coming 12 month project.

Strategic Support That Delivers Results

The team at Venturenomix was able to support CardMedic with an end-to-end service, from identifying suitable grant funds and sourcing partners, to developing winning applications and project managing the administrative elements of the live projects.

Winning two grants worth £850k in such a short space of time (3months) demonstrates the impact that the CardMedic team are going to have on NHS services. We are looking forward to being part of their journey.
